DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY

The Department of Information and Technology was formed in the year 2001. The well qualified and committed staff of the Department guide the students in all perspectives. The Department enthusiastically strives to achieve its goal of creating competent Information Technology professional using innovative methods.

LAB FACILITIES
The Department owns a sophisticated computer lab consisting of Pentium IV server interlinked through Windows NT with a network of many computers. The lab has all essential peripherals including printers and scanners to facilitate the requirements of the students. Access to web is by three means, namely, Dial - up, Leased line and VSAT connections.

FUNCTIONS

Train the students in computer applications
Facilitate netizens with access to web through out the day
Contribute to research activities of the college
Conduct awareness programs in IT oriented subjects

ASSOCIATION
The association of Information and Technology helps the students to improve their software knowledge and motivates them to acquire latest information about the developments of the field. It conducts several programs and motivates the students to participate in them so as to develop themselves into outfaced personalities.
