DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

INTRODUCTION
     The department of electrical and Electronics Engineering is the first basic branch of engineering to PSNCET during the academic year 2004-2005. It has been working effectively since the beginning of this year.

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY
     The EEE Department has a full fledged electrical machinery laboratory as per Anna University Syllabus. In addition special machines like brushless alternator, Pole charging motor etc are also available in our laboratory.

ACHIEVEMENTS
     Mr. C. Thangaraj and Mr. C. Christopher Columbus presented a paper in an International Workshop at IIT chennai entitled "Role of Mathematical Modelling and Simulation in Electrical drives"

     Mr. C. Thangaraj and Mr.C. Christopher Columbus published an article in the "Engineering Today Magazine(Nov 2004) entitled "Solar Bicycle with Ex-wheel permanent magnet brushless D.C. Motor".

     The staff members have taken initiative in giving special coaching for students appearing in Gate 2005 examination. Apart from this they have also guided students in Gate 2005 examination. Apart from this they have also guided students in presenting papers at National and International conferences. A project developed by our students Mr.S.C. Ramesh (III ECE) and Mr.Austin Jeyaraj (II ECE) entitled "Energy Conservation in Textile Mills" in the state level project presentation at MIET Trichy bagged 2nd prize. Our students Mr. Muthukrishnan (III ECE) and D. PrabhaKumar (IV) ECE have got numerous papers presented at various colleges to their credit.
