DEPARTMENT OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING

      Aviation and Space have always fascinated man. Giant strides have been made in these fields, as testimony to man's outstanding achievements in science & technology. Civil aviation has shrunk the world, military aviation has altered the shape of war, and space ventures have revolutionized many areas of human activity. These fields have acquired a firm base in India also and have grown over the years. Aerospace scene in India has been the growth of design and production of military aeroplanes, rockets and missiles and space vehicles. Civil aviation also is poised for growth. Facilities for education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering have also been established in a few institutes in the country over the years. The growth in the Aerospace field will need the education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering also to grow, to cater for the requirement of trained manpower.

     PSNCET has therefore included the degree programme in Aeronautical Engineering under Anna University, in the programmes offered by them with effect from academic year 2005-06, in keeping with the management's plan of widening the choice of programmes offered for prospective students. It brings the opportunity to pursue such a sophisticated field of study to our potential students. The Management is keen & committed to creating all the laboratory facilities for Aeronautical Engineering programme in accordance with the Anna University syllabus in order to enable the students supplement their theoretical lessons with lab work. PSNCET aims at creating adequate resources to build a department of Aeronautical Engineering comparable to the best in the country in a short period of time.
