DEPARTMENT
OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING
Aviation
and Space have always fascinated man. Giant strides have been
made in these fields, as testimony to man's outstanding achievements
in science & technology. Civil aviation has shrunk the world,
military aviation has altered the shape of war, and space ventures
have revolutionized many areas of human activity. These fields
have acquired a firm base in India also and have grown over
the years. Aerospace scene in India has been the growth of design
and production of military aeroplanes, rockets and missiles
and space vehicles. Civil aviation also is poised for growth.
Facilities for education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering
have also been established in a few institutes in the country
over the years. The growth in the Aerospace field will need
the education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering also
to grow, to cater for the requirement of trained manpower.
PSNCET has therefore included the degree programme
in Aeronautical Engineering under Anna University, in the programmes
offered by them with effect from academic year 2005-06, in keeping
with the management's plan of widening the choice of programmes
offered for prospective students. It brings the opportunity
to pursue such a sophisticated field of study to our potential
students. The Management is keen & committed to creating
all the laboratory facilities for Aeronautical Engineering programme
in accordance with the Anna University syllabus in order to
enable the students supplement their theoretical lessons with
lab work. PSNCET aims at creating adequate resources to build
a department of Aeronautical Engineering comparable to the best
in the country in a short period of time. |
